With a tank full of petrol and a semi-cheery disposition. We just missed the rain, and arrived to the scorching sunshine of Sunny Beach, Bulgaria. Where we enjoyed several or so mojitos accompanied with endless amounts of chicken and shopska salad. Unfortunately, the mannerisms of the Eastern European weren't as pleasant as the beaches, and the horror of being served blackcurrant squash as a 'Cosmopolitan' was heartbreaking. Calamari for breakfast was definitely a highlight, as was the relaxing aspect of the holiday. It was an experience full of fun, sun and fake ray-bans that I am happy to have had, but I would recommend travelling away from the tourist parts of Sunny Beach. Simply because the smaller towns are quaint and cheap- Sunny Beach being neither of those.
